What John McCain achieved in the days since his passing is something few of our leaders have been able to achieve during their lives. His brilliantly choreographed memorial services in Arizona and Washington brought together disparate elements of our government — and lifted our nation up to the moral high ground on which we can rise-up,  once again. John McCain implored us to become one America in spirt – working and pulling together in the same direction, protecting our nation and respecting one another, restoring dignity, decency and authentic patriotism.

This morning, we witnessed moments of silence and reverence through airwaves that have been cluttered with corruption and lies over the last several years. The truth spoke for itself with the elegance of Jon McCain‘s memorial service. What we need to do as a nation spoke for itself. The leaders of our government stood together in celebration of an American hero.

This Labor Day weekend, let us gather as families, and as a nation to share the remembrances, honoring, beauty and integrity of a noble life, and of a great nation.
