Our family suffered the unimaginable on September 5, 2008. Our twelve year old son, Josh was killed in an accident. Our lives forever shattered…everything we knew as a loving family of five, forever altered. Shortly after our unspeakable tragedy, I was given Dr. Ken Druck’s CD, Healing Your Life After the Loss of a Loved One.

It has been in my car’s CD player for more than three years. I listen to it regularly. Parts of it are more meaningful for me today than they were immediately following the loss of my son, yet early on, other parts were the only words I could hear to encourage me to continue breathing. Dr. Druck understands the magnitude of this loss. His words echo in my heart as I continue to try and live this life without my beautiful son. His CD has served as a “place” where I can go and know there is another father who has experienced their own unimaginable tragedy, yet somehow has endured. His words are carefully chosen and have meant more to me than he could ever imagine.

Because of Dr Druck, our family (like his) has been inspired to honor our child, and honor our family, by doing something good in this world in Josh’s name. Thank you Dr. Druck for continuing to inspire our family through the empathy and constant encouragement you have provided each of us.
